Delete your Sharky data

Sharky has no accounts, so your phone is the proof that the data is yours. Everything is deleted from inside the app, on that phone, and only that phone’s data can be deleted.

1. Everything on your phone

  1. Open Sharky and tap the gear icon at the top of the Feed to open Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom, to Start over.
  3. Tap Erase everything and confirm.

Deleted: your loans and schedules, payments, collections and the people who owe you, your wallet and its cards, budgets, goals, paluwagan circles, posts and comments, receipt, proof and card photos, and your settings. Uninstalling the app deletes the same things.

Kept: nothing by us. An encrypted backup file you exported yourself stays wherever you saved it; delete it there.

2. Everything on our servers

That is your Shared Space account and everything you shared, the read-only links of any paluwagan you share, and your purchase record with its advertising ID.

  1. Open Settings (the gear icon at the top of the Feed) and scroll to Start over.
  2. Tap Delete from our servers, then Delete.

Deleted, straight away: your Shared Space name, everything you shared, your posts, comments and reactions in every space, any ledger you uploaded, your rental rooms with your posts and the photos you uploaded (a landlord’s whole room), the account itself; the copies of your shared paluwagan; and the RevenueCat purchase record and advertising ID tied to this phone. The app tells you what was deleted and what, if anything, could not be.

Kept: a short record that you gave and withdrew consent to share, as the law requires; it holds no loans, amounts or posts. Google Play keeps its own purchase history in your Google account, and a subscription you still pay for comes back with Restore purchases.

You can also reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. After that, the app sends zeros instead.

Ask us instead

Email support@loanshark.site with the subject “Delete my Sharky data” if something above did not work. Without accounts we cannot tell from an email whose data is whose, so we will walk you through doing it from your phone rather than delete anything on request. If you no longer have the app, nothing on our servers is linked to your name, email or phone number.
